On Saturday Rick, his dad and my dad (the three bosses) poured more concrete in the basement to finish the job that the previous contractor had left. We don't know if the were planning on redoing the living room floor or if they were just adding extra support to the walls. Either way the job had to be finished so we could had new joists and a new floor.
This is actually one of the living room floor joists coming out of the exterior wall needless to say we will have to pull them all out and come through and fill the holes with concrete.
Between pulling up living room floor boards my dad and I made a rustic built in bookshelf for Amados room.
It's a long way down!
On a good note we got our water meter turned on and the city water in our name :) Very exciting. Of course we had to find out that our meter is all the way down on Lorenzo so we will have to always pay attention for leaks and pray we will never have to dig our neighbors lawns to make repairs.
